in the iPhone 3G shuffle yesterday was the confirmation of a new Mac OS
update: "Snow Leopard," which is set to arrive in 2009—and, as
expected, it's more of a core-services update than a cavalcade of new
features.</p>

<p>What do you with all that loose change in your pocket? Besides feeding it to 
 parking meters or soda machines, you could soon be accessing a Wi-Fi signal 
 thanks to<a href="http://www.handlink.com.tw/eng/products/kiosk/wi-fi_kiosk_ks852.htm#s"> 
 Handlink's Wi-Fi Kiosk </a>machine. The coin-operated Wi-Fi station works like 
 this: drop a few coins into the machine, wait for it to print a ticket with 
 an access code, and log in to your temporary account. After your time has elapsed, 
 you'll be asked to deposit more coins or you'll be disconnected and your account 
 deleted. </p>

 Anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled laptop or PDA can access the 802.11b/g connection.
